ingredients

2 grapefruits, washed 
6 cups water 
1 cup sugar 
6 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk

serves: 6

prep time: 10 minutes

total time: 10 minutes

directions

step one - cut one grapefruit into eight wedges and place in blender. zest the remaining grapefruit into the blender. 
step two - cut the remaining grapefruit in half and juice both halves into the blender. add one cup of the water and blend for 1-2 minutes until mixture is smooth. 
step three - add the sugar and condensed milk. add in 3 more cups of water then blend for another 1-2 minutes until lightened in color and frothy. depending on your desired sweetness level, add another cup of water after blending or leave it as it. 
step four - once fully blended, pour liquid through a fine mesh strainer and into a serving carafe. straining is important to remove excess rind and seeds. to serve, chill for an hour or serve over ice.
