Food Styling Assistant

Costen King Cortes is a food styling assistant based in New York City. Previously, he had the pleasure of working full-time as a food styling assistant at the People Inc. (formerly Dotdash Meredith) test kitchens located in Birmingham, AL. He completed the Food Styling Fellowship Program with Dotdash Meredith, honing his kitchen skills and learning the fundamentals of how to effectively assist.

Costen King Cortes has assisted many food stylists, including Chelsea Zimmer, Julian Hensarling, Torie Cox, Margaret Monroe Dickey, Sally McKay, Emily Hall, Ana Kelly, and Jennifer Wendorf. Through assisting these stylists, he has worked on brands such as Sanpellegrino, Tazo Tea, McCormick Spices, Hood Milk, Tea Forte, Country Crock, Boar’s Head, Food and Wine, Southern Living, Simply Recipes, Allrecipes, Real Simple, Verizon, Coastal Living, Eating Well, and Serious Eats.
